Despite the increasing use of positioning using linear actuators, positioning tables with classic rotary actuators offer many technical advantages, especially in vertical applications where the axis needs to have sufficient restraining force/resistance.
Due to the number of key components within each axis, it can then seem very complicated to achieve positioning accuracy
The PI Micos division has over 20 years of experience in the development and manufacture of these positioning tables. Production and all components are fully optimized to achieve the required accuracies. Depending on the requirements of each customer, we are able to offer the corresponding table design from the basic version to the version with direct position measurement, equipped with an encoder with a resolution of 1 nm thanks to which the control electronics can correct the table movement up to the mentioned accuracy of 1 µm.
