Cryostation XP

Cryostation XP is an optical cryostat designed for the most demanding applications requiring temperatures below 2K. The Cryostation XP is derived from the successful Cryostation S series. It is a closed cycle optical cryostat with high temperature and vibration stability. The cryostat is capable of cooling the sample to 1.7 K with vibrational stability below 20 nm (peak-to-peak) and temperature stability down to 2 mK (peak-to-peak). The individual models of the series differ mainly in the size of the sample space.

The complete system includes a control unit, cryostat, user interface, vacuum pump, thermometers and temperature controllers.

The cryostat is manufactured by Montana Instruments, a North American company that specializes in the production of precise and innovative optical measuring instruments for laboratory and industrial conditions. It is represented in Europe by Quantum Design.
