Andor's Marana sCMOS camera is the ideal choice for diverse applications in the physical sciences such as astronomy, Bose-Einstein condensation, quantum optics, hyperspectral imaging, neutron tomography and fast spectroscopy.
The Marana model series includes two models in total - Marana 4.2B-11 and Marana 4.2B-6. Both models feature a 4.2 megapixel sensor, 95% quantum efficiency (QE) and unmatched -45°C vacuum cooling. A major advantage of the cameras is the ability to optimize the signal-to-noise ratio, even under challenging conditions with limited light. This makes them suitable for tracking smaller orbital objects, spectroscopic detection of trace concentrations, and BEC fluorescence detection of discrete atom/ion counts.
