The measurement capabilities of optical profilometers depend on the lenses used. Zygo offers a wide selection of high quality standard interferometer lenses.
Lenses affect the following parameters:
- Numerical aperture and magnification
- Working distance
- Measurable range of angles
- Size of the field of view
Standard interferometric lenses of compact design, wide-angle lenses, and long and super-long working distance (SLWD) lenses are available from Zygo.
Zygo is the first to market(Zygo Wide-Field) ZWF lenses for large fields of view (> 30 mm) with minimized image distortion compared to standard design lenses using the Michelson interferometer principle. This type of lens is optimized for large fields of view and is subject to patent protection.
The magnification range can be further extended by combining it with an additional optical zoom (0.5x to 2.0x) for a total optical magnification range of 0.25x to 200x.
