Coherent PWS (Profile Welding System) is a complete laser welding system for welding pipes and profiles. A key component of the PWS is the integrated sensors for dynamic tracking and detection of the weld gap (seam) and actuators for precise real-time positioning of the laser beam. The PWS features high production reliability and is designed for welding speeds up to 60 m/min.
The Coherent PWS can be equipped with a DC Series CO2 laser or a HighLight ARM fiber laser:
- The CO2 laser is proven to provide a stable and high quality process for most materials.
- The HighLight ARM provides more precise spatial and temporal control over beam power than traditional fiber lasers, resulting in better weld properties. This solution is particularly suitable for welding stainless steel.
