On 20-22 October, the LASER 61 conference took place, in which we participated both as an expert contributor and as a sponsoring partner of the event. The conference was traditionally organized by the Institute of Instrumentation of the CAS, this year in cooperation with the HILASE Laser Centre. This was the eleventh edition of this event, which brings together experts from the public and private sphere who are professionally involved in lasers and are interested in gaining contacts and information across different disciplines and approaches.
This time the conference took place in the beautiful area of South Moravia, right in the castle town of Lednice, and brought a number of interesting contributions from leading experts from universities, scientific institutes and commercial companies.
At the conference we had the chance to discuss new products from our suppliers and also to contribute with our expert lecture in the field of LIBS spectroscopy (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy), where we presented our project of a complete set-up including laser for plasma generation, beam delivery to the sample, sample chamber for large samples with the possibility of automatic manipulation, collection and analysis of spectra.
