Product Description

Here we present the standard model of our laser protection cell. The structure measuring 3 × 2 meters with a height of 2.5 meters offers a professional solution for creating a fully isolated and certified workspace in accordance with the EN 60825-4 and 60825-1 safety standards. It is designed to provide protection from scattered radiation in high‑power systems such as CO2 lasers like the Coherent Diamond J‑1000 or Coherent Compact Evolution used for laser welding of plastics. The cell allows you to convert the surrounding space in a hall or laboratory into a laser-safe workplace where personnel can work without the need to wear protective eyewear or observe special safety zones.

The protection cell is constructed from aluminium profiles and sheets with a matte black paint that ensures absorption. Easy access for operators and material delivery is provided by wide double‑wing doors. The entire system is designed to be modular, so even for the basic version, we expect to add variable openings for cabling, cooling hoses, or process inputs, which we prepare precisely according to your equipment specifications.

As part of the openings for electronics, we also install our own LED lighting. You can choose the temperature and intensity of the lighting based on the needs of your operation.

A key element of the protection cell is the integrated electronic security system and interlock circuit, which guarantees the automatic shutdown of the laser source on any unauthorised opening of the doors. The safety circuit is supplemented with an emergency stop button and a warning beacon, providing immediate visual status monitoring of the workspace.

In addition to design and manufacturing, we provide complete on-site installation at the customer and, if desired, a final safety audit. For specific requirements, the protection cell can be further expanded with certified laser windows, filtration units for Cleanroom dust-free spaces, or forced ventilation for the extraction of process emissions.

Additional Services

  • Final workplace audit
We offer a post-installation review and audit to confirm that the laser protection cell fulfills its function and that the entire setup at your facility complies with the safety standards of EN 60825-1 and EN 60825-4.
  • Laser safety training for your employees
Our safety experts offer training for personnel according to the laser safety standard EN 60825-1.

Applications

  • Robotic welding and cutting
A safe perimeter for robotic arms during laser welding of plastics, soldering, or cutting of metallic and non‑metallic parts.
  • Stationary laser cleaning
An enclosed workspace for removing rust, paint and grease from large parts (e.g. molds, engines). The laser cell prevents glare in the surroundings and effectively concentrates extraction of fumes and dust.
  • High‑power CO2 systems
A safety barrier for lasers with a wavelength of 10 µm intended for cutting acrylic, wood, or textiles.
  • Additive manufacturing and metal 3D printing
An environment for development methods such as powder melting (L‑PBF) or material deposition (LMD).
  • LiDAR and optics testing
A testing environment for calibrating automotive sensors and simulating lighting conditions without external interference.
  • Laser spectroscopy (LIBS)
A protective box for material composition analysis using laser‑induced plasma. Safely isolates high‑energy pulses, intense flashes, and acoustic effects of discharges.
  • Mobile and temporary workplaces
A modular assembly based on aluminium profiles for flexible production lines. The laser cell can be easily moved or reconfigured without the need for structural changes in the hall.
