What's new in IMARIS?
To better understand the life around them, biologists are using classification. Classification allows us to simplify all the processes and changes we perceive, from the vast taxonomy of known biological groups, to the different types of endosomes in cells, to the set of all observable features of organisms.
The current version of Imaris analytical software, Imaris 9.6.0, makes the classification of detected objects within microscopic images even easier than previously possible. A new analysis tool called "Machine Learning" makes analysis simpler and more straightforward, whether it is assigning given classes to detected objects depending on their properties and surroundings, reporting and presenting differences between classes, comparing classes to each other or analyzing data within selected ROIs, and much more.
New Imaris 9.6.0 features:
- Object Classifier with new Machine LearningClassifier statistics
- New concept of automatic classification of objects (Spots, Surfaces) based on selected statistics
- Object classification step-by-stepguide
- New statistics describing e.g. density of point objects (Spots), distance to the nearest point/selected number of points in the same object group, etc.
- Comparison of classes within 1D Vantage View and now also 2D point diagrams
- Modified navigation panel including a new and intuitive mouse cursor selection/navigation mode
