New Coherent PowerLine E QS: The compact and cost-effective PowerLine E 6 QS (AC) and PowerLine E 12 QS (AC) laser marking subsystems include an air-cooled green (532 nm) laser, optional scanning optics and power monitoring for marking applications in the semiconductor and electronics industries.

Our newest laser markers in the COHERENT PowerLine family extend the popular air-cooled PowerLine E series from infrared to green wavelengths.

The green laser beam is often optimal for marking semiconductors and plastics compared to infrared lasers. The high absorption in this wavelength region results in high quality, clean marks with minimized risk of thermal damage to the underlying circuit components.

However, conventional green lasers are more sensitive to temperature changes than infrared lasers and therefore often require water cooling. However, the need for a cooling device increases the operating costs and carbon footprint of conventional green lasers. The PowerLine E 6 QS (AC) and PowerLine E 12 QS (AC) laser markers avoid this by offering a choice of 6 or 12 watts of pulsed (Q-switched) power at 532 nm in a fully air-cooled format. In addition to eliminating water cooling with its negatives and reducing the number of sub-components, PowerLine E 6/12 QS (AC) laser markers are easier to integrate, maintain and service compared to typical water-cooled laser markers.

The PowerLine E 12 QS (AC) is also available in our popular PowerLine DualHead format, where one laser source powers two scanners via a beam splitter. This configuration allows for a larger marking area and up to 2x faster marking, all while providing the same control and integration conditions as a single laser marker.

For system designers and production line integration

PowerLine laser markers are ideal for system builders and production line integration in any application where marking quality, aesthetics and legibility are critical. Our flexible Visual Laser Marker (VLM) software makes it easy to implement complex tasks such as 3D marking on curved surfaces, marking on the fly and marker serialization.

Just as importantly, our global service support structure, comprehensive service contracts and local spare parts warehouses mean less downtime and higher overall performance no matter where your marking application is located.
