Last Wednesday (19.10.2016) ended the second workshop in the Czech Republic, during which we introduced the new Dragonfly confocal system from Andor. Participants were not only members of the laboratories operating at the Institute of Meteorology, but also other interested people from Prague and Brno research institutes. This workshop was organized under the auspices of the Czech - Bioimaging project.

The Dragonfly confocal system was busy for seven days. One day was reserved for students in the ongoing microscopy course(Microscopy methods in biomedicine). For the remaining six days, the Dragonfly system withstood the onslaught of experienced users from the Light Microscopy Service Team led by Dr. Horvath (IOMG) and other scientists who routinely use various types of microscopy in research.

On our part, I would like to thank the members of the Microscopy Centre of the Institute of Microscopy for their excellent cooperation in the organisation and the actual conduct of the practical part.

Thank you to all participants.
