Ocean Optics has expanded its line of fiber spectrometers with the Ocean-FX model with a sensitive CMOS detector, an upgrade of the Flame spectrometer but under a new name. With its high acquisition speed (up to 3000 scans per second), it can process larger amounts of data in less time. It is able to cover the spectral region from 200 to 1100 nm, showing excellent sensitivity in the ultraviolet and near-infrared part of the spectrum. It includes a robust communication module supporting Ethernet and Wi-Fi.
