Univet, an Italian manufacturer of protective eyewear for laser work, is launching an improved 562S eyeglass frame that will gradually replace the 562H plastic frame. Univet uses a proprietary substrate called Sylex that resists laser radiation well (According to current standards, the eyeglass frame must protect as well as the protective filter itself)

The frame enhancement is valid according to the protection levels certified according to the European standards EN207:2017 and the EU Data Protection Regulation 2016/425.

The frame now achieves protection level LB8 instead of LB7 for pulsed lasers (including femtosecond pulses).
