Piezo Tip/Tilt Platform S-335

The S-335 is a dynamic piezoelectric tip/tilt platform for precise tilting of mirrors in two axes. It is designed especially for applications that require a larger deflection angle while maintaining high precision and fast response. It is suitable for laser scanning, beam stabilization and precise positioning of optical elements.

Long Service Life Thanks to PICMA® Piezoactuators

PICMA® piezoactuators feature all-ceramic insulation that protects them from moisture and malfunctions caused by increased leakage current. Compared to conventional actuators with polymer insulation, they offer up to ten times the service life. Their reliability has been verified over 100 billion operating cycles without failure.

Precise Guidance without Mechanical Play

The flexure guides require no maintenance or lubrication and operate without friction or wear. Thanks to their high rigidity, they have a high load-bearing capacity, are resistant to shocks and vibrations, and can be used over a wide temperature range.

High Dynamics Thanks to Parallel Kinematics

In a parallel-kinematic multi-axis system, all actuators act on a common platform. Low moment of inertia and identical designs of both axes enable fast and dynamic motion while maintaining high precision.

Variants

The S-335 is available in three versions:

  • S-335.2SH - platform without mirror,
  • S-335.2SHM1 - platform with a 12.5 mm diameter mirror,
  • S-335.2SHM2 - platform with a 25.4 mm diameter mirror.

All variants have an angular range of 35 x 35 mrad, SGS sensors with direct position measurement, a D-sub 37 connector and a 2 m cable. The recommended controller is the E-727 digital multichannel piezo controller.

The S-335 piezoelectric tip/tilt platform is designed for applications requiring fast and precise tilting of optical elements in two axes and a larger deflection angle:
