Do you face these challenges too?
Challenges
- Incorrect alignment during manual cutting or drilling
- Unnecessary material waste caused by inaccurate positioning
- High effort when producing single pieces or changing geometries
- Time-consuming setup of workpieces or clamping devices
- Limited process reliability in complex machining steps
Solutions
- Z-LASER projectors project precise outlines of cuts, holes or positions directly onto the workpiece.
- This shortens setup time, prevents errors and increases material yield.
- They enable precise positioning – even for large or complex workpieces.
- Ideal for the production of furniture, windows, glued laminated timber, finger-jointed timber or for CNC machining.
- CAD data can be projected directly – quickly, flexibly and efficiently.
Applications
Do you want to shorten lead times, cut costs and improve the quality of your results? We offer the precision, quality and efficiency that will get you there.
Integration with circular saws
Positioning lasers on circular saws project cutting lines with high visibility. This enables precise work, reduces waste and increases efficiency in wood processing.
Cable drums
The positioning laser projects precise marks onto cable drums, making drilling and assembly easier. This ensures greater accuracy and speeds up the production process.
Cutting wooden boards
The laser marks precise cutting outlines on wooden boards and assists the operator during cutting. This makes the work more efficient and minimizes errors when cutting material.
(Mobile) saws
On (mobile) saws, positioning lasers provide similar support, with the added advantage of flexibility and mobility. They allow precise cuts to be made on site, increasing the efficiency of wood processing right at the source – where the wood is.
Sliding table saw
During trimming, the laser line simulates the cutting path with a red or green line on the wood, allowing cuts to be made as close as possible to the natural edge. The laser can be mounted either above the machine on the workshop ceiling or directly on the chip guard.
Multi-rip saw / gang rip saw
Here, line lasers are mounted on linear axes above the machine's infeed unit and are linked to the saw blades. Red or green lines projected onto the board allow the saw blades to be set so that the best possible result is achieved during edging and ripping.
Timber frame construction
Laser projectors project CAD data directly onto the work surface, eliminating the need for manual measuring and marking. Workers position the timber elements according to the projected patterns, which allows faster work and minimizes errors.
Glued laminated beams and glulam (BSH) frames
Laser projectors display the shape of the future beam, allowing the clamping elements (press stands) to be positioned precisely in the gluing bed. This makes it possible to determine exactly how much lamella material is needed. For subsequent processing of the finished beam on a CNC machining center, the projector displays the contour of the beam and aligns it with its actual position. The new position is then transferred to the machine control system.
CNC woodworking center
For the optimal placement of CNC vacuum cups, the laser projector can display both the outline of the workpiece and the contours of the cups. The milling boundaries of the workpieces are projected onto the material whenever this helps prevent damage to the vacuum cups by the milling tool, makes it easier to position the material or increases material yield.
Staircase production
In staircase production, the use of laser projectors reduces material costs by minimizing waste. Using the supplied software, the stair treads to be milled can be optimally aligned and displayed on the material in line with the grain direction. This saves working time and increases output.
Roof trusses The laser projector generates a 1:1 scale laser image from the truss design files and projects it onto the work surface. It displays the positions of the pressing elements, nail plates and timber members.
