Applications
Do you want to shorten lead times, cut costs and improve the quality of your results? We offer the precision, quality and efficiency that will get you there.
Weld inspection
Using laser triangulation, machine vision lasers carry out precise weld inspection on curved surfaces. This makes it possible to detect weak points in welds, ensure quality and increase the efficiency of the welding process
Inspection of formed parts
With laser projectors, bent parts can be checked quickly and accurately thanks to the precise projection of the required outlines. Deviations are visible immediately, which reduces waste and increases process reliability in metal processing.
Metal cutting saws
Positioning lasers play an important role in the metalworking industry, especially in cutting systems. They ensure precise positioning of metal parts, which significantly speeds up the machining process. In doing so, they optimize production, increase efficiency and contribute to higher overall productivity.
Alignment of rolled sheets / plates
After rolling, rolled sheets must be precisely aligned for the next processing stage, for example on a roller conveyor, in order to avoid waste.
Loading and sorting parts
Laser projectors make it easier to sort cut metal parts. Employees can then remove the individual highlighted parts in the prescribed order and continue processing them.
Bin picking
Before each pick, triangulation sensors scan the inside of randomly filled bins and recalculate the arrangement of the parts inside. This information is passed to the robot, which can then pick the next part. In addition, the laser projector reliably marks the relevant section of the bin intended for picking and displays further information, such as the number of pieces.
Display of measuring points and parts
When a laser projector is used for measurement and inspection, the individual test steps are projected in a user-friendly way and in a predefined order. To make sure the right measuring tool is selected, the projector highlights it in the tool magazine with an arrow or a frame. This ensures high-quality inspection results.
Setup of tools, systems and machines
When setting up individual operations, operators are supported by a laser projector that guides them through the setup process with easy-to-understand projections. It clearly and precisely displays the positions of supports, clamping devices and components.
Hydraulic cold and hot forming
In hydraulic presses, the laser ensures repeatable accuracy when placing the part in the press.
Drilling and punching
A cross laser helps both with positioning the sheet correctly and with drilling or punching accurately.
Bending and folding sheet metal
In so-called “free bending” of sheet metal without a back gauge, laser positioning is essential for achieving accurate results.
Welding
Precise positioning is a key factor in achieving clean results, and not only in the production of complex 3D frames and structural parts. This step is made much easier by laser projectors, which display the exact target position when spot welding components.
Waterjet, thermal and laser cutting
The positioning laser marks the exact point on the material that serves as the reference for flame, waterjet or laser cutting systems, so that the required shape is cut with millimeter accuracy.
Cutting, punching, grinding, …
Positioning lasers ensure high efficiency for all types of cutting, punching and other metalworking machines. A positioning laser is particularly useful where no mechanical stop is available, or when cutting plates and long sheets.
