Magneto-Optic modul for CryoAdvance™

The Magneto-Optic Module extends the CryoAdvance™ system from Montana Instruments with the ability to apply magnetic fields at low temperatures. This fully integrated accessory allows magneto-optical measurements to be performed directly in the cryogenic chamber without compromising optical access or experimental stability. Thanks to its clever design, setting up magnetic experiments is extremely simple – the magnetic field can be activated literally at the touch of a button .

Key features

  • Integrated magnetic field directly in the cryogenic chamber
  • Simple operation and automatic pole demagnetization (automatic zeroing function)
  • Full integration with power supply, water cooling, and Hall probe calibration
  • Variable field intensity configuration depending on the spacing and shape of the poles used
  • Top optical access with the option of a recessed lens for experiments with a short working distance
  • Compatibility with piezo stages and other accessories for precise sample positioning
  • Adjustable radiation shield allowing modification of the sample space and extension of the optical access
  • Control via Galaxy software – complete control of magnet, cooling, and measurement

Product description

The Magneto-Optic Module is designed to extend the capabilities of the CryoAdvance™ system without compromising sample access or optical measurement quality. Its simple and compact design ensures easy installation and maximum compatibility with other Montana Instruments modules and accessories.

Thanks to automatic zeroing of the magnetic field, it is possible to completely eliminate residual magnetic fields in the iron poles. The system thus remains perfectly "magnetically clean" after shutdown. Users can choose between different pole geometries and magnet configurations according to the requirements of a specific experiment.

The Magneto-Optic module is an ideal addition for magneto-optical and spintronic experiments where a precisely controlled magnetic field at low temperatures is required – for example, when studying magnetic domains, spin phenomena, or quantum materials.
