Optical filters are an integral part of fluorescence microscopes, where the following types are mainly used:
- Excitation filters pass only specific wavelengths to excite specific fluorophores.
- Emission filters block the excitation beam and pass wavelengths originating from the excited fluorophores.
- Dichroic mirrors reflect or transmit light depending on its wavelength.
For fluorescence microscopy we supply mainly filters from Chroma. We offer many other specialized optical filters and complete sets for different applications (Multiphoton, Raman, ...)
