MPMS 3

MPMS (formerly MPMS SQUID VSM) is an automated SQUID system for measuring magnetic properties of materials. The basic unit of the MPMS consists of a cryostat with a superconducting magnetic coil. A wide range of measurement possibilities is provided by the use of different measuring inserts or sample holders and the activation of the corresponding software module.

  • SQUID magnetometer with high sensitivity (≤10-8 emu)

  • Fully automated and very fast measurement

  • Temperature range 1.8 to 400 K (from 300 K to 1.8 K typically in 25 minutes)

  • Magnetic field ±7 T

  • Expandable with integrated Evercool helium liquefier (no liquid helium required)
