A workshop entitled "Establishing and Providing Light Microscopy Core Facility Services" will be held at CEITEC from 11 October to 12 October 2017.
The theme of this workshop is MicroscopyCore Facilities.
Individual presentations will cover the establishment, organization, technology and communication within these common laboratories.
We will be participating with a scientific poster"Dragonfly - A New Multi-Modal Microscopy Platform", which will present the technology behind a revolutionary modular microscopy system - Andor Dragonfly, which brings many benefits just for the joint microscopy labs:
- Reduction of instrument time per user - Confocal imaging: 100 frames per second at full resolution - Zyla, iXon cameras
- Multiple imaging modes on one instrument - laser widefield, TIRF and Super-resolution microscopy - SRRF Stream
- Complementary software with deconvolution and 3D visualization - Fusion, Imaris Core
The speakers are very experienced leaders or motivated founders of well-known European collaborative microscopy labs:
- Martin ANGER (CEITEC Masaryk University Brno, Czech Republic)
- Yang GU (University of Sussex, UK)
- Jan PEYCHL (The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, Dresden, Germany)
- Klaus QVORTRUP (CFIM, University of Copenhagen, Denmark)
- Stefanie REICHELT (Light Microscopy, CRUK Cambridge Institute, UK)
- Alex SOSSICK (Wellcome Trust/CRUK Gurdon Institute, Cambridge, UK)
- Daniel ZICHA (CEITEC - Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic)
Detailed programme can be found here.
We look forward to your participation and questions during the course.
