Edinburgh Instruments is expanding its range of pulsed laser diodes. VPL(Variable Pulsed Lasers) light sources deliver optical pulses with a time width tunable from nanoseconds to milliseconds. In addition, they can operate in continuous mode. They are optimized for phosphorescence lifetime measurements using the MCS (Multi-Channel Scaling) method. Although they are designed to be compatible with Edinburgh Instruments spectrometers, they can be incorporated into any experiment thanks to their external switching capability.
Key features:
  • 14 preset pulse widths (from 50 ns to 1 ms)
  • External triggering option
  • Optimization for time-resolved phosphorescence measurements (MCS method)
  • Adjustment of pulse width and repetition rate using the input trigger pulse
  • Possibility to operate in continuous (CW) mode
  • Compact plug-and-play design
