However, if you are working with ultrafast pulsed lasers where nonlinear interference effects are present (e.g. fiber lasers), pulsed lasers with variable pulse length (e.g. pulse compressor), or if your application results depend heavily on stable pulse conditions, in all these cases peakDetect is the right tool for you.

Pulse variations captured by peakDetect

APE's PeakDetect is an innovative measurement device for accurately monitoring laser pulse variations to help you maintain laser stability and process reliability. PeakDetect measures laser repetition rate, average power and non-linear efficiency. These measurements allow calculation of relative peak power and pulse quality, i.e. how far the pulse is above the Fourier transform limit.
