Industrial Optical Fibre

Coherent 's industrial fibre optics provide efficient and reliable laser beam transmission for high power lasers. It is a complete solution comprising optical fiber, terminations, mode stripper (preventing the propagation of unwanted optical modes) and industry standard water cooled connectors. This effectively eliminates potential optical transmission losses, even in time-critical applications. They are also ideal for dynamic robotics applications, whether welding, cutting, 3D printing or surface processing.

Optical fibers are available with 3 basic connector types: QD, QBH and RQB. They can be combined with different configurations to best meet the requirements of your application.

Optical fiber with QD connector conforms to European Automotive Industry standards. The innovative connector design features a built-in photodiode that can identify optical loss on the input side and reflection on the output side. This effectively eliminates optical losses during transmission.

Optical fiber with QBH connector is the ideal choice for high power industrial lasers. In addition, it is compatible with most available tools and systems, making the integration process significantly easier. For less demanding, lower power systems, it is also available in an air-cooled (RQB) version.
