The Pulse Picker, specifically APE's PulseSelect model, is a Bragg cell acousto-optic modulator that allows pulses from picosecond or femtosecond mode-locked lasers (synchronous/locked mode lasers) to be pulse picked, thereby reducing their repetition rate.
PulseSelect is available in two basic versions: Single (one modulator) and Dual (two integrated modulators). The Dual version itself branches into the Serial version (two modulators in a row), which has a high contrast ratio > 6000:1, and the Parallel version (two modulators side by side), which is capable of simultaneously splitting pulses from 2 synchronized laser sources. In addition, in terms of spectral coverage, all versions are offered as Broadband, High Power (HP) or Dualband.
