PulseCheck Type2

High-contrast measurements with the PulseCheck SM type 2 autocorrelator provide information on how far back in time and at what intensity the pre-pulse, post-pulse and base twitches accompany the main pulse.

With a high dynamic range of 10e7, the pulseCheck SM Type 2 is ideally suited for characterizing high-intensity, high-repetition-rate laser pulses such as those used in materials processing or ultra-high-intensity light-matter interaction experiments.

Key features

  • Measurement of intense pulses and their pre-pulses, post-pulses and base jitter.
  • Measurement of ultrashort laser pulses with high dynamic range.
  • Time resolution of 1 fs for normal operation and 25 fs for high contrast operation.
  • Ethernet, TCP/IP and USB connectivity for easy automation.

High contrast measurement vs. standard autocorrelation measurement

Figure: SM type 2 high contrast autocorrelation measurement of an industrial femtosecond fiber laser with a nominal pulse length of ~280 fs (measurement scale in ps). Measurement conditions: ~1030 nm, 35 mW, 1 MHz.

Acquisition software and standard TCP/IP interface software

All models come with easy-to-use data acquisition software that allows real-time data display. In addition, APE's standard TCP/IP interface software allows for easy remote control setup. This allows, for example, the design of custom automated measurement procedures. Simply use APE protocol templates for quick configuration using familiar programming languages, including C++, C#, LabVIEW, Python, Matlab and Ruby.
