In July 2016, we delivered the Coherent META 2C cutting system, which will be used for cutting sheet metal templates.
The core of the system is a J-3 pulsed CO2 laser with a peak power of 750 W. The laser and the work surface are fully covered. The cover allows loading or unloading from two sides. The laser beam guide is able to work in a range of 1220 x 1220mm thanks to the two-axis travel.
The individual axes are equipped with encoders which ensures high accuracy and repeatability of the whole system. The automatic focusing of the cutting head is based on a capacitive sensor.
The system was supplied complete including cooling and extraction unit.
