The SuperK CHROMATUNE supercontinuum tunable laser from NKT Photonics is a fiber laser system with an integrated filter unit. It provides a tuning range of 400-1000 nm and can hold a constant output power of ~1 mW as the wavelength changes. It dominates with excellent reliability and a lifetime of thousands of hours. It requires no extra service, calibration or tuning.
Key Features
- Same output power (~1 mW) for all spectra selected from the 400-1000 nm interval
- Repeat frequency: fixed (78 MHz, quasi-continuous mode) or tunable (150 kHz - 78 MHz)
- Robust design
- Fast, easy and safe start-up
- Minimum output spectrum width: 5-10 nm
- Adjustable output spectrum width: 5-50 nm
- Output beam: collimated,M2 < 1.1

Supercontinuum
The supercontinuum is a broadly continuous optical spectrum that typically arises when a light pulse passes through an optically nonlinear medium. In the case of white lasers, this is the passage of the laser beam through a non-linear optical PCF(Photonics crystal fiber).
