clean environment boxes

Applications and challenges

The production and handling of optoelectronic components, crystals and precision optics require a contamination-free environment. Even a microscopic dust particle can damage a surface or cause a defect in an optical system. However, building costly cleanrooms for entire production halls often makes no economic or operational sense. An effective solution is to create local clean zones (so-called flowboxes) where the most critical handling takes place – typically during final assembly, inspection or packaging of products.

Our solution in practice

For CRYTUR, a leading manufacturer of optoelectronic solutions, we regularly supply local clean zones that provide air filtration to ISO 5 level. We supply flowboxes in various versions – depending on requirements, we can add adjustable lighting, an ionising bar, antistatic strip curtains or castors to the flowbox, and we design the structure exactly to the customer’s specifications.
