Mosaic3

The Mosaic3 is an active illumination module for microscopy that enables targeted illumination of the sample based on a MEMS Digital Mirror Device (DMD). The variability of usable light sources and compatible microscopes provides room for customizing the experimental setup to your requirements.

Popis produktu

A DMD is a set of microscopic mirrors on which light is incident at an appropriate angle. Depending on the adjustable position of these mirrors, the incident light is reflected towards the sample or the beam is reflected out of the field of view. By this mechanism, it is possible, for example, to massively activate specific neurons when studying signal transduction in nervous tissue(optogenetics) or to illuminate fluorophores bound to molecules forming cell membranes and thus observe the fluctuation of these molecules(bleaching / FRAP). Mosaic3 is an ideal complement to confocal microscopes - SDCM(Spinning Disc Confocal Microscopy) with the possibility to perform photo-manipulation experiments and at the same time to capture their progress and consequences very quickly in confocal quality.

Accessories

Light sources

LED - ideal for optogenetics and other applications that do not require high power densities at the sample plane. Very flexible in terms of wavelengths, with long lifetime.

Lasers - suitable for bleaching and FRAP applications where high power density at the sample plane is required. Commonly supplied wavelengths for bleaching traditional fluorophores(GFP) are 445 nm and 475 nm, with power greater than 1 Watt.
