FusionScope® joins forces with Kleindiek Micromanipulators

FusionScope integrates atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) into a versatile platform for nanoscale materials characterization. In conjunction with Kleindiek micromanipulators, it enables precise mechanical and electrical investigation of micro- and nanostructures.
Applications include the analysis of nanowires, electrode structures and nanoscale devices using high-resolution imaging, real-time data and seamless switching between AFM, SEM and EDS. This innovative combination supports advanced in situ experiments and dynamic materials analysis, opening up new opportunities in nanotechnology research. Read more in the report from Quantum Design.
FusionScope installed at the University of South Dakota

Another FusionScope has been installed at a university in the USA. Dr. Zhou and his group will use it in their research on the synthesis and assembly of nanoparticles.
First user application report: advanced characterization of plasmonic nanostructures

The application report highlights how the FusionScope integrates SEM and AFM capabilities, enabling accurate characterization of the morphology of 3D plasmonic nanostructures fabricated with FEBID. By bridging the gap between fabrication and simulation, it provides accurate verification and optimization of nanoscale designs and sets a new standard in correlative microscopy. This research was carried out by Prof. Harald Plank's group at the Technical University of Graz.

FusionScope workshop in Paris

At the end of January, Quantum Design France organized a hands-on FusionScope workshop in Paris, bringing together researchers from academia and industry. This workshop showcased the unique capabilities of FusionScope. Attendees had the opportunity to see FusionScope in action analyzing their own samples, along with a demonstration of its advanced features - such as precise positioning using an 80° profile view and seamless integration with complementary techniques.
QD Roadshow across Germany

We are pleased to announce the FusionScope Roadshow, which is travelling across neighbouring Germany. Attendees will be treated to a demonstration of the strengths of our correlative AFM, SEM and EDS systems. Researchers from academia and industry will have their samples analyzed to show how FusionScope can advance their research and development efforts.
The roadshow will stop at QD's German office in Pfungstadt, as well as in Munich, Berlin and Cologne. Through these events, we want to highlight FusionScope's unique capabilities and its potential to transform workflows in a number of industries.
