Hamamatsu 'sX-ray flat panels combine a large CMOS sensor and a ScI scintillator deposited on a FOP(Fiber Optic Plate) substrate. The scintillator material first absorbs the incident X-rays and converts them into light flashes, which are then converted into an electrical signal.
Due to their thin profile and low weight, they are very easy to integrate into other devices. They find applications in many sectors of industry, science and research, such as radiography, tomography, non-destructive testing of systems, electronics inspection and dental X-ray imaging.
