The Coherent PowerLine RAPID NX is an optimized picosecond laser subsystem that creates permanent and unique markings using ultra-short laser pulses. It creates subsurface marks in stainless steel without contaminating the surface. The markings created by the RAPID NX laser have high contrast and, unlike surface markings created by conventional heat lasers, these markings do not fade or corrode over time, even in aggressive environments. It is therefore particularly suitable for medical applications. The same laser subsystem with the same optical configuration can also be used for marking other materials, e.g. titanium, anodised aluminium and even plastic materials such as PEEK/PPSU. This saves costs and increases efficiency.
