Janis' (Lake Shore Cryotronics) range of flow cryostats can achieve 65K for a wide range of applications. The cryostat is cooled by liquid nitrogen while the sample itself is under vacuum. Each system consists of a cold finger, radiation shield, sample holder, lightweight aluminum vacuum cover and a port for electrical grommets.
Temperature control of the sample is controlled by a heating element which is placed on the 'cold finger' and, in conjunction with an optional temperature controller, allows very precise temperature control.
Key features
- Temperature range 65 K to 800 K
- Sample placed in a vacuum
- Rapid cooling (under 15 min to 77 K)
- Four-way optical access
- Easy addition of liquid N2 without affecting sample temperature
