The TuCam is an adapter for connecting two cameras directly to the microscope or to the confocal scanning unit (CSU). These cameras can be used for simultaneous dual colorimaging or to select a specific camera with more suitable parameters for the application (if available, e.g. sCMOC Zyla and EM CCD iXon).

The TuCam adapter is compact, precise and flexible. Optical elements can be added in front of the cameras to achieve a smaller effective pixel size (zoom optics), which is very useful for example with EM CCD cameras when maximum resolution is required. Optical filters and dichroic mirrors are optional, depending on the user's needs, and are housed in special cartridges in the instrument to allow precise alignment.
