Tunable monochromatic light sources

A standard tunable monochromatic incoherent light source is created by a suitable combination of an arc light source (most often an Xe lamp) and a monochromator. The combination of these two key components is optimized with respect to the application under consideration. For stability reasons, the whole assembly is placed on a common motherboard.
