LEAP is Coherent's excimer laser that combines high performance, excellent reliability and low operating costs. This makes it an ideal laser source for a wide variety of research and industrial applications, especially in semiconductor manufacturing, from display fabrication to microstructure creation. LEAP lasers are available at 193, 248 and 308 nm wavelengths with output powers up to 300 W (and pulse energies up to 1 J). All of this comes in a compact design that is easily integrated into functional units and production facilities.
In 2020, the manufacturer has introduced an expansion of the LEAP laser product line, which now offers an industrial solution with 193 nm output. The 193 nm wavelength has several advantages for micromachining and applications where nanometer-scale penetration depths need to be achieved.
