Monochromator MSH-150

With its proven Czerny-Turner design and 150 mm focal length, the MSH-150 Grid Monochromator from LOT Quantum Design is a high-performance and robust system. It dominates with high accuracy and speed of setting the desired wavelength. Depending on the choice of diffraction gratings, it can cover the spectral region from the ultraviolet to the infrared part of the spectrum.

  • Diffraction gratings

The chosen diffraction grating not only determines the spectral range, but also affects the spectral resolution of the instrument. More than 200 types of diffraction gratings are available for the MSH-150 monochromator. An overview of the most commonly used ones can be found here.

  • Motorized filter holder for removing higher diffraction orders

The motorized filter holder itself contains a total of 6 free positions to accommodate standard optical filters with a diameter of 25 mm.

  • Filters for removal of higher diffraction orders

Top pass edge filters (long pass filters) are used to remove light transmitted by grating monochromators in the higher diffraction orders. Their selection depends on the desired spectral range of the monochromator.
