Green lasers (typically 532 nm) are used for high-precision micro-ablation and the machining of heat-sensitive materials. As the human eye is extremely sensitive to the green part of the spectrum, reflections and the plasma generated pose an enormous risk of severe glare and irreversible damage to the retina. The high optical density reliably blocks these visible wavelengths in accordance with standard EN 207, whilst maintaining a clear view of the work process.
