FLS1000 luminescence spectrometer

The FLS1000 Modular Spectrometer from Edinburgh Instruments offers everything you need forSteady State and time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy. It is suitable for both basic research and routine laboratory applications. It combines high sensitivity with high spectral resolution, excellent suppression of unwanted stray light and powerful electronics for fast data acquisition. It can measure steady-state luminescence spectra in the ultraviolet, visible and infrared spectral regions (up to 5500 nm). It can monitor fluorescence and phosphorescence lifetimes ranging from picoseconds to seconds

Key Features

  • Modular concept allowing a complete luminescence laboratory to be assembled within a single instrument
  • Single software package for all measurements and analysis of measured data (different HW modules are recognized by the software)
  • Powerful monochromators (focal length 325 mm or 350 mm; 2 × 325 m or 2 × 350 mm for dual monochromators)
  • High instrument sensitivity: > 35,000:1 (with dual monochromators), > 20,000:1 (with single monochromators)
  • Minimum of two emission ports (up to 3 detectors can be connected to a dual emission monochromator)
  • Excellent stray light rejection: 1:1010 (double monochromators), 1:105 (single monochromators)
  • Automatic carousel with filters to remove higher diffraction orders
  • Computer-controlled rotating tower to accommodate up to 3 diffraction gratings
  • Enclosed design to prevent dust from entering the beam path
  • Spacious sample chamber allowing sample access from all horizontal and vertical directions
  • Compatible with modern light sources and detectors
  • Computer controlled aperture (attenuator)
  • Self-calibration during system initialization

Monochromators

The FLS1000 luminescence spectrometer uses single and dual Czerny-Turner monochromators with high optical throughput, excellent suppression of unwanted stray light and low time dispersion. They contain a motorised rotating head with a minimum step size of 0,01 nm on which up to three diffraction gratings can be placed.
